20/11/25 – Dr Mariem DARDOURI

Dr. Mariem Dardouri (Maître de conférences au Laboratoire LMOPS) donnera une conférence intitulée « Advanced control and fault- tolerent startegies for power converters in DC microgrids » jeudi 20 novembre à 13h00 en salle de réunion du LMOPS (C102).

Abstract
The increasing integration of renewable energy sources and distributed generation units into microgrids calls for advanced control strategies to ensure stable, efficient, and reliable operation.
This presentation focuses on our work on high-efficiency and fault-tolerant control of power converters in microgrids. The main objective is to develop robust control techniques that preserve system performance under parameter uncertainties, load variations, and sensor faults.
Several approaches are investigated, including sliding mode control, model predictive control, and sensorless methods, with the goal of improving dynamic response, reducing hardware dependency, and enhancing system reliability. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques in ensuring fault resilience and maintaining power quality in converter-based microgrid architectures.
Overall, this work contributes to the development of next-generation power converters featuring high efficiency, robustness, and fault-tolerance, paving the way toward smarter and more sustainable microgrids.
